Pros: He's done amazingly well considering the monumental obstructionism from Congress. Those who don't swallow the Fox News propaganda usually know that most of what he gets blamed for is the fault of Congress. He did not start any ground wars in the Middle East. Obamacare is 97% the Republican healthcare plan from a few years ago, but it's a big improvement over what we had. He has always reached across the aisle to cooperate; that is actually the threat the GOP fears. Whatever his faults, he is 1,000 times better than either Bush or any of the GOP's offerings.

Cons: The drone warfare program, like everything the CIA does, is bad policy and a violation of international law. I wish he had spoken up more for campaign finance reform. I wish he had pushed harder to prosecute Wall Street for tanking the economy. Single payer healthcare would have been better, although Obama did not have support for it.

This rating is from a voter who was promised:
He promised healthcare reform and a willingness to work with the opposition to get things done. A poster seemed to promise Hope and Change, but I was never clear what the specifics were supposed to be.

Felt the politician achieved:
He delivered healthcare reform, and always showed a willingness to work with the opposition to get things done.

Pros: He admits (some) of his faults.

Cons: He could improve by doing what the people want rather than what just the rich and mega-corporations want. He needs to keep us out of conflicts, rather than place us into them. Most importantly, people should not be penalized if they do not pay for healthcare. He should shut Guantanamo Bay and stop the continuing human rights violations we commit there. I voted for him in his first term because he really tricked me into believing that he would be different. I believed he was going to be different from Bush and immediately get us out of Iraq and Afghanistan. Not only did he keep us in the war, he kept Bush's original time-table for Iraq! He has left the Authorization for Military Force in effect. He has even strengthened the governments ability to spy on it's citizens via the "Patriot" act.

This rating is from a voter who was promised:
He promised to not be "more of the same," yet he is exactly that! He promised to get our troops home in a timely fashion . . . Bush's time-table was anything but timely. He promised to help people with healthcare, but really he has made it a burden by penalizing people who don't pay for it (just like Romney's plan in Massachusetts).

Felt the politician achieved:
Nothing positive of significance. He won a noble prize while keeping us at war and getting us involved in new and unrelated conflicts. He has allowed prisoners to be detained without due process. He has led the government in reducing our rights to privacy and freedom.
